Aluminum foundry alloys - AlSi, AlSiMg, AlSiMgCu

SLM supplies the main alloy types within the Foundry Alloy segment to the market. The alloys are normally tailor-made to customer specifications.

Key features

· AlSi alloys: Due to its excellent castability, the AlSi alloys are mainly used for highly complex and thin-walled castings.

· AlSiMg alloys: Universal alloys that by applying heat treatment combine good castability with high material properties.

· AlSiCuMg alloys: Heat-treatable alloys with moderate to high strength and hardness.

Custom design

· Produced as continuous cast or mold cast ingots, which are then stacked and strapped into bundles of various sizes.

· Ingots can vary from 620 to 750 mm in length, 6.5 to 13 kg in weight and from 460 to 1.200 kg in bundle weight.

· Besides standard alloys, most of our alloys are produced according to individual customer specifications.

· We offer assistance in the optimization of existing alloy compositions and process parameters to utilize fully the potential of our products.
